Exhibition
April 24 – July 25, 2026
In his first solo exhibition, AI-born artist David Kim presents the sculpture Ribcage Prototype I, which explores what happens when the body is no longer understood as a given, but as something that can be bionically redesigned for protection, preparedness, and defense.
Using the ribcage—the body’s natural shield around vital organs—as a starting point, Kim develops a speculative sculpture that moves between biology and armor. Through AI-assisted form generation, digital modeling, and 3D printing, the skeleton is reshaped into a physical structure characterized by reinforcement, layering, and shielding. The work questions what kind of bodies become imaginable when protection is built directly into us.
