Rodrigo Sigal – a leading composer and director of the Mexican Centre for Music and Sonic Arts – presents a program of audiovisual artworks on the 38-channel loudspeaker system og 360° screen in the Planetarium.
Works by Tonalli Nakamura, Sofia Matus, Javier Alvarez, Alejandro Viñao, Joao Pedro Oliveira and Rodrigo Sigal.
Rodrigo Sigal is a composer of electroacoustic music and director of the Mexican Centre for Music and Sonic Arts (www.cmmas.org) where he coordinates numerous initiatives of creation, education, research and cultural management in relation to sound and music. In 2024 he received the prestigious Bellas Artes Medal in Music from the national institute of arts and literature in Mexico. Sigal is a long-term member of the intermedia ensemble Lumínico, director of the Visiones Sonoras festival, and editor of the journal Sonic Ideas / Ideas Sónicas.
