How to get here?
You can find us in the heart of Trondheim! Vitensenteret is located at Kongens gate 1, right next to Torvet (the town square). It is easy to get here whether you are walking, cycling, or taking the bus to the city center.

Can children visit Vitensenteret alone without an adult?
Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Is Vitensenteret accessible to everyone?
- Entrance via the courtyard: Here you will find a lift (elevator) that takes you up to the exhibition.
- All on one level: The exhibition itself is located entirely on a single floor.
- Shop and toilets: Both the science shop (Vitenbutikken) and the toilets are easily accessible on the same floor as the exhibition.
- Accessible toilet: We have a dedicated, accessible toilet for wheelchair users and people with disabilities on the same floor.
Baby changing facilities
You can find a baby changing mat in both the accessible toilet and the women's toilet.
Can I bring my own packed lunch?
We have a lunch room for brought-in food. This room is used for birthdays and events, and can be booked by groups on weekdays. During weekends and holidays, the room is open to all visitors who wish to enjoy their own food and drinks, or simply take a break from the exhibition. The room can seat more than 25 people.
Is it possible to buy food there?
Sweet snacks, ice cream, and both hot and cold beverages are available for purchase in Vitenbutikken.
Can I wear smart glasses at Vitensenteret?
Use of smart glasses with camera, audio recording, or AI features (e.g., Meta/AI glasses) is not permitted in the exhibition or during our activities.
This applies to all visitors, school and kindergarten groups, workshop and birthday party participants, as well as staff and external partners.
Smart glasses pose a risk of unauthorized personal data collection, recording without consent, and violations of our visitors' (especially children's) and staff's right to privacy.
